The military taxpayer has become the target of the Internal Revenue's poisoned arrows in that tough new tax rules aimed at the serviceman and service families are now being written. IRS further tightened the vise by limiting the service personnel to 30 days in which to ask for public hearings on the rules. The new regulations u n Dugway, Utah 84622 New Four Monday holidays scheduled next year v Commander speaks I urgently desire to express some thoughts to all memliers of' the Deseret Test Center regarding our current situation. I feel the restrictive financial climate of future coupled with higher level managerial indecision consolidation proposals, tests tasks, reorganization actions, frustration intolerable an is restrictions, etc., producing which in turn is affecting our teamwork and spirit. We sifind ourselves in a difficult liut surely not impossible few of a years tuation. It is similar to the Apollo Project lost their lives in a ago wherein three U.S. astronauts blow for the launching pad fire. This was a tremendous morale of NASA and its many contractors. Instead of NASA versus its maintaining the adversary relationship of contractors, those men were inspired to get together and solve their mutual problems. Shortly after that disaster, man walked on the moon. We are faced with a similar, liut less tragic, situation at Deseret Test Center. We must all reassess our many diverse personal goals with a view toward how they will contribute to our organizational objectives. Every mcmlier of the DTC community has an interdependent task. Each of us has respoasibiliiies to each other at the and its contemporary level as well as to the organization is to an for organization mission.
