Show The Utc Bulletin 7 Pig Employees Selected to Fill Vacancies in Tribal Offices Forrest Cueh, former assistant director for the Alcohol Rehabilitation Program, has been named to succeed Robert Chapoose as Ute Tribe Education Coordinator. Mr. Cuch graduated from Westminster College in June with a Bachelor of Science degree in social sciences. He is the son of Jason Cuch. Georgia Wyasket will assume Mr. Cuchs responsibilities as assistant director of the A.R.P. Mrs. Wyasket has previously worked with the Bureau of Indian Services at the University of Utah, as a secretary for the Community Action Program here and most recently as secretary for the Alcohol Rehabilitation Program. She has attended Brigham Young University and the University of New Mexico. Willard Gardner has been named to fill a new position created for a patrolman under the Law and Order Department. For the last year Mr. Gardner has worked with the Tribal police under the Public Employment Program. Moving into the vacancy in the PEP program left by Mr. Gardner will be Raymond Wissiup. A former Tribal policeman, Mr. Wissiup has recently returned from Southern Utah State College in Cedar City where he studied law enforcement. Veronica Santio has assumed the responsibilities of Vital Statistics Clerk. Ms.' Santio worked previously for the Internal Revenue Service in Fresno, Forreot Cuch Veronica Santio Georgia Wyasket Calif. Emily Myore, formerly a switchboard operator and receptionist for Bottle Hollow Resort, succeeds Georgia Wyas- ket as secretary for the Alcohol Rehabilitation Program. Susan Chapoose has joined the Accounting Department as a She succeeds Patsy Navanick in the clerk-typis- t. position. Leland Alhandra, formerly with the Public Health Service, has assumed the duties of custodian for the Tribal offices. Two Utah State University doctoral candidates in the Psychology Department have been named to work with the Tribal Mental Health Program. Scott Fulkerson and Christine Rickly will spend the next six months teaching Human Relations and Leadership classes at West Jr. High and Union High Schools. The newly instituted program is funded by Public Health Service. Marjorie Byers has been named to helper succeed Judy Cole as a part-tim- e in the Public Relations Department. Mrs. Byers, a native of Ohio, holds ofa journalism degree from the University Tulsa. OUTSTANDING STUDEN- T- Discrimination Suit Filed Against lYlississippi Cafe Asst. Attorney Gen. J. Stanley Pottinger, head of the Justice Depart-10 ments Civil Rights Division, on Dec. announced the filing of a civil suit against the owner of a coffee shop in Philadelphia, Miss., for alleged segregation of Indian customers in a rear kitchen suit asked for a court order enjoining Ms. Oxiner from practicing racial discrimination in the operation of her establishment and requiring her to post notices that all persons will be served without regard to race or color. area. Filed in U.S. District Court in Jackson, Miss., the suit charges Mary Ann Oxiner, owner of Mary's Coffee Shop in Philadelphia, just outside the Mississippi Choctaw Reservation, with violations of the public accommodations section of the 1964 Civil Rights Act.
