In Tooele County we have thousands of acres of grass, brush and forest land which, because of our dry climate is dry much of the year. Extra precautionary measures must be exercised to prevent grass and brush fires which destroy our watersheds, wildlife, and threaten the lives of those who may be in or near a grass fire. DURING THE past year we have experienced a number of grass fires in and adjacent to the housing areas on post which have been started by children playing with matches. Curiosity is part of a child's growing up and how a match makes a fire is one of these curiosities. A match in the hands id a child is just as dangerous as a gun, vet we carelessly leave matches lying around within easy reach of children. Children playing with matches in tall, dry grassy areas are endangering their lives, their playmates lives and the lives and property of everyone who may be iq the path of a raging grass fire. Many children throughout the nation have died and destroyed their homes because they were playing with matches. Parents should be extremely careful to keep matches in a safe place and out of the reach of children. DncOuding All Our New (Shristmas Stock AU SURPRISE FREE pusausis GIFTS SPECIAL I REG.
