Show I 4 IHL tlllJLN THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER I J I 4, 1975 On The Home Front By Bruce Snow Returns Home Jenlene Adamson to Chariot Peterson and Amy Preston; third year to Nora Cole, Tammy Falslev, and Dava Munk. by Alice 8. Cardoa Individual Achievement 1 Tongue Tied1 Bruce Snow, son of Anna Mae and Frank Snow, has returned home after almost two months in the Salt Lake LDS Hospital. He was critically injured in a head-o- n collision on July 2. Bruce was driving a Volkswagen which collided with a pickup truck driven by Rick Pitcher, son of Joyce and William Pitcher. Bruce was in the intensive care unit in critical ! condition for several days, with multiple broken bones and internal injuries. It has been a long, hard fight far life, but his condition gradually improved until his parents were able to bring him home from the hospital on Friday of last week. He has a cast from his waist down, on me leg, with a hinged knee, enabling him to bend it and sit in a wheel Doing dumb things, that is. I would like a dime for everytime Ive said thank you for no real reason. They say, thank you." And I say, thank you. For what? I opened the door. I'll call a person on the phone and then thank them for calling. See? If I received a dime for all my boo-boI'd be rich. Enthusiasm is great but theres a slim line between enthusiasm and stupidity. Sometimes its very hard to define the difference. After hearing the expression 'tongue tied I realize I have that affliction. My mind thinks, fields of lettuce and my tongue turns it into fields of fettuce,' FOOTNOTE: This column may seem extremely short this time, but you see, Ive run out of things to say or write in this case so I will stop writing so that you can stop reading. Stop. heard a great quote in a church meeting last week. The featured speaker 1 finished his talk by saying, Since I dont have anything else to say, I guess Ill quit talking. I learned more from that one phrase than anything else Ive listened to in years. There's an old saying that goes, If you cant say anything nice about someone, don't say anything at all." Yours truly could benefit from this philosophy. Personally, I get around remarkably well considering I have both feet in my mouth most of the time. I called an acquaintance sometime ago and we were tossing memories back and forth about our school days. Remember all the stupid things we used to do?" I asked. USED TO DO! she exclaimed, "I'm still doing and saying dumb things. After thinking about it, I realized that I, too. have improved with age. , os chair.
