Of A White If el s . 2bb 91 While in California Rick Bartschi celebrated his fifth birthday by having all his family accompany him to the Christmas parade in San Pedro where a friend of theirs, Micheal Lookinland or Bobby Brady of the Brady Bunch was grand marshall. At home, afterwards, Rick's cousin, J. P. Killpack helped break a pinata, which was shaped like a bird and filled with candy and presents for Rick. Dinner and birthday cake was served. On Dec. 3, Jonathan had his third birthday and after dinner opened his presents. They were gone three weeks. The Fourth Ward Relief Society Christmas party was held Tuesday with President Roberta Geary in charge. The lesson on social relations was given by Alice Jeppsen and the mothers lesson by Eloise Meyer. Carols were sung, led by Bernice Larkin and accompanied by Margaret Larsen. Sandy Hyer gave a Christmas poem. Margaret Larsen gave a violin solo accompanied by Jean Laync. The Relief Society chorus sang two numbers led by Lillian Tarbett accompanied by Margaret Larsen.. A church film, The One, was shown. Refreshments were served to 80. Visiting Frye Roskelley and family were her two sisters Vera Wold of River-dalIdaho and Ina Bennett of Preston, also a sister-in-laSue Packer also of Preston Time was spent tying quilts. Mrs. Roskelley had made seven last month. Some she will use and some will be Christmas presents. The Sixth Ward Primary under the direction of President Shirley Bartschi enjoyed Christmas festivities. Julie Pitcher's class visited Mrs. Fisan Walsh and put on a brief program and presented her a picture called Hearts Door, a picture of Christ. Six enjoyed visiting Mrs. Walsh and her daughter Mrs. Blanche Each teacher and class in Primary planned what they wanter to do. Some made cookies, some made tree ornaments. Joan Brows class put on a program, a Christmas panto-- ' mime and a Christmas story. Games were also played. Refreshments were serv' ed. Smithfield Third Ward Re-1- ;' lief Society enjoyed their Christmas party Wednesday. The lesson for visiting teachers was given by Marian Wright. President Ruth Gregory gave the Christmas message. The social relations lesson was given by Ruby Johnson and the mothers lesson by Elna Otteson. A Christmas social was then held. The Relief Society chorus sang several Christmas carols led by Coy Manby ning, accompanied Elaine Jensen. Coy also gave a Christmas number. Devore Hodges gave, The Anniversary of Christmas. Linda and Dean Smith and baby son have left Smithfield and moved to Logan. They lived on East Center in Smithfield. Carol and Garth Jewkes of 44 N. 330 E., Smithfield, announce the arrival of a new daughter, their first girl at the Logan Hospital, December 16. She weighed seven ii g, Maxine and Gordon Karen announce the wedding nl their daughter Lanis to Scott K. Gardner of Iaigan. They were married December 14 in Logan by Reverend Miner E. Bruner. A few close friends and relatives were in attendance. Sunday, the Relief Society gave the program in the First Ward Sacrament meeting. Wednesday in the First Ward Relief Society meeting, lessons were given with Norma Rutherford giving the social relations lesson and Marilyn Lindley the mothers educational lesson. Each member brought a treat and at the conclusion of the meeting the members were divided into eight groups and they visited shut-in- s, sang carols and left a box of treats. They also visited her brother and sister-in-laTerry and Paul Killpack of the same city. Mr. Killpack is recuperating from a heart attack. Rick and Jonathan took a walk every day with their grandfather to help him. A tour was made of the Los Angeles harbor and zoo. Mr. Brent Bartschi was in Alaska at Poker Flats doing n , . ! A Christmas party was held Tuesday during the Second Ward Relief Society meeting. The Rebel society cnorus sang a carol led by Mary Blaugh and accompanied by Elaine Godderidge. The announcement was made that there will be no more Relief Society meetings until January 7, 1975.
