Ward Scout Carnival Raises Funds By Margaret Hansen dollars was raised for the muscular dystrophy fund at the third wards recent Cub Scout carnival. Door prizes donated by local merchants were won by Ronnie Jonas, Hal Fisher, Pattie West, Tim Moulton, David Sorge, Judy Hammond, Stacey Carter and Gilbert Keene. Helping with the carnival were Bob Sundstrom, Creel and Judy Hammond, and Glenda Sorge. Leo and Selena Low recently visited their foster daughter, Stella, and her family in Tuba City, Ariz. and another daughter Susan in Carson City, Nev. Other highlights of their trip were visits to a Navajo Indian Reservation, Glen Canyon Dam and the Grand Canyon. Lorin and Mona Olney were visited this weekend by their Wallson and daughter-in-laace and LaRee Olney and children and their two. friends from Bountiful. The Mayhew family are new residents in the home formerly owned by Ferreii Kump. Mr. (Mayhew is a farm maintenance engineer for Pepiperidge Sixty-eig- ht w, Larsen Reunion Held At Lodge The Ludvig and' Johanna M. Larsen family Reunion was held at the Smithfield, Lions Lodge, Sept. 8, on the wedding anniversary of Ludvig and Johanna Larsen. They were married in the Endowment House in Salt Lake Citv in 1881. ' j f Sixth Wardf Peter and Lucy Ascoli announce the arrival of their first child, a girl, on Sept. 19. The baby has been named Elizabeth. Both Mr. and Mrs. Ascoli teach at Utah State University. Grandparents of the new baby are Dr. and Mrs. Max Ascoli of New York City and Mr. and Mrs. Philip Bemont of Maplewood, N. J. Smithfield members of the Larsen family, Myrtle and George Cooper, Violet Godfrey, Cora Hogan and Mr. and Mrs. Leon West were in charge of the event. A delicious dinner was served to 85 family members and special guests, Lucille Tarbet and Blanch Reese. A family history Slights formerly lived in Logan. Leona Thomas and her three sons are now living with her mother, Hazel Romero. Mrs. Thomas operates Marvs Cafe. June Lamb and her two sons are new neighbors on E. 1st N. Mrs. Lamb is Audrey Binghams granddaughter. Lorraine Hulet held a baby shower last Tuesday for Margaret Hansen. In attendance were Agnes Fowler,. Dona Frost, Ruth Gregory, Eloise Toolson, Elna Otteson, Cheryl West and Glenda Sorge. Young Mar-ried- s enjoyed dinner and games in Mack Park recently under the direction of the Elders Quorum. Twenty-fou- r Fathers and sons of the ward enjoyed a hike from Tony Grove Lake to Smithfield Canyon Saturday. Forty participated in the event which ended with a picnic in the Canyon.
