Mrs. Golden Boman observed her birthday Sunday with most of her family present to enjoy a reunion and to honor their mother. Those present included Mr. Boman, Mr. and Mrs. Alma Boman, Bobbe and Suzanne, Mr. and Mrs. Don Blair and Dianne, all of Lewiston, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Boman, Troy and Tony, Salt Lake City; Mr. and Mrs. Lael Boman and children, Kerry, Kathy, Jason and Julee Ann, Ogden; Mr. and Mrs. Asel Boman, Trent and LuAnn, Lay- ton; Mr. and Mrs. Ted Boman, Smithfield; Mr. and Mrs. Don Kris and Nan, Carolee Boman and Joyce Landon, all of and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bountiful. Mrs. Last is Last, Mrs. Bomans sister. 1 Mr. and Mrs. Emil Monssen son eroxne f Montreal, Quebec, are guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Don Van Dyke and family. The Monssens were converted to the LDS faith by the Van Dykes son, Calvin. Calvin and his parents accompanied the Canadian family to the Logan Temple last Friday. Also tending the temple session with them was Greg Buhler, Poca-Logatello, Ida., a former missionary who knew the Monssens. Gregs parents and grandmother were n, Cornish Happenings Mrs. Edith Pearce. Mrs. Asael Buttars and daughter Ann spent Monday in and Salt Lake City. They also enjoyed the fair. Mr. and Mrs. Jess Crookston and Mr. Fred Crookston of Logan, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Pearce, Preston, Ida., Mrs. Chester Simmons of Salt Lake City, and Mrs. Joseph Day of Cove have called at the Hanson home during the week. Following the October LDS General Conference in Salt Lake City, the Monssens will return to their home. The Lewiston Fourth ward MIA held their opening social at Sherwood Hills last week. They enjoyed games, swimming, sociability, food and gorgeous scenery. Mr. and Mrs. Larry Wiser are pleased about the safe arrival of a new grandchild. A little girl was born to Todd and Luann Jensen Sept. 21 at the Logan LDS Hospital. The Jensens are now making their' home' in Fairview, Ida., and Todd is employed with a construction company in Smithfield. Mrs. Kent Christensen and two children of Ogden were weekend guests of her parents, Mn and Mrs. Lester Austin. Explaining the athletic program at the University, he stressed the need for more funds to achieve a competitive program with other schools. He said the money comes from season ticket sales, concessions, and from student fees. Andersen paid tribute to the students and to President Glen L. Taggart for their strong support. Word has been received that Mrs. Leila Rutherfurd is recovering from a recent heart attack suffered in Calimesa, Calif.
