Show 4 - THE CITIZEN THURSDAY. AUGUST 10, 1972 Honor Roll Students Franklin Girl Wed In Temple Miss Darlene Mylroie, daugh- ter of George Mylroie Franklin, became the bride of of Gordon D. Henrie, son of Mr. and Mrs. Verl Henrie of Riverdale, on June 19. Presi dent Rex performed the double ring ceremony in the Logan LDS Temple. A wedding reception was held in the Franklin ward cultural hall on June 24, given by the bride's father. The bride wore a floor length gown of white polyester sheer over polyester satin, accented with a Chantilly lace bodice, full sleeves gathered and trimmed at the wrist with lace attached at the empire waist. Her veil of bridal illusion was held by a band of flower petals accented with a bow. The gown was designed by the bride and made by her sister, Mrs. Leah Lowe. She carried a bouquet of s. talisman roses and white gla-meli- Miss Chris Matthews of Anaheim, Calif., was maid of honor and bridesmaids were Leah Lowe, Marlene Robinson, Shirley Rawlings, all sisters of the bride, and Sue Lloyd of Oakley. They wore street length dresses of orange polyester fashioned with long bell sleeves and high necks, accented with a silver necklace. Their bouquets were large yellow mums with a talisman rose in the center. Delbert Rawlings of Hazellon was best man. Ushers were Leon Mylroie, Ernest Mylroie, Victor Mylroie, all brothers of the bride, Ed Henrie, brother of the groom, and Leon Robinson, Robert Lowe, Merlin Lindsey and Chuck Christian, all A-li- MR. HENRIE Several area students were listed on the honor roll for the spring quarter by Utah State University for achieving a grade point average of 3.5 or e enrollbetter in their ment. Clair Swains ton Davis of Clif ton was included. His chosen field is engineering. Irvin L. Davis, also of Clifton, is majoring in science. Also listed is Thane D. Winward, Jr., of Dayton, majoring in Science. Preston students included Morris 0. Casperson and Danny Conlin, business; Judy Porter, Loraine Dickman of Kent, Wash., Margaret Mylroie, and Beth Mylroie helped with the gifts. Mrs. Karen Lindsey was charge of registering the guests. Others who assisted were Mrs. Conrad Doney, Mrs. Cora Barfus and Mrs. Drue Lester. Maurine Matthews, friend the bride, greeted guests in cotton sheath of brown and yellow with a yellow carnation and talisman rose corsage. Mrs . Gladys Henrie, mother of the groom, chose a bright yellovv dress with a yellow carnation and talisman rose corsage. The bride displayed a trousseau. CRAIG W. CASPERSON AND JOYCE NIELSON Miss Nielson Will Wed In Temple and Mrs. Daniel Roberts Preston announce the engagement and forthcoming Mr. of marriage of Joyce Nielson to Craig W. Casperson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Owen M. Casperson of Preston. The future bridegroom is a graduate of Preston high school and LDS Seminary. He attended Ricks College where he studied before serving two years in the California mission. He is presently employed by his e is a 1970 Preston high school and is a four year graduate of LDS Seminary. The couple plans to make their home in Logan where Craig will attend USU this fall. The wedding will take place Friday, Aug. 25, in the Ogden Temple. A reception will follow that h evening at the Preston ward cultural hall. Third-Sevent- Scouts Go Camping By Dorothy Miles BAN IDA Hugh J. Geddes accompanied a group of Scouts lo Cottonwood Canyon Thursday on an overnight camping trip. Those going were Stephen Cattani, Douglas Campbell, Steven Cook and Daryl Geddes. Mr. and Mrs. Larry Bell and daughters of California are vacationing with relatives in Utah and Idaho. They spent some time with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Demont Bell in Banida. Miss Linda Moosman of Salt Lake City spent the weekend in Banida with Mr. and Mrs. Otho Moosman and family. Carmen Gregersen visited in Arimo with a former college roommate. Eldon S. Auger, son of Mr. and Mrs. Verl J. Auger of Preston, has accepted a teller position with Walker Bank and Trust Company, Salt Lake City, Ut., it is announced by J. M. Stevens, president, Salt Lake Stevens Henager College. While attending the Salt Lake City college of Stevens Henager, Mr. Auger took a Business Management course. He was placed at Walker Bank and Trust Co. by Stevens Henager. Mr. Auger is a graduate of Preston high school. Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Miles went to Soda Springs Sunday afternoon to visit with Mr. and Mrs. Roland Allen. They also visited with Mr. and Mrs. Howard Young in Thatcher on their way home. Julie Campbell gave the talk in Sunday School. Joe J. Christensen and son of Salt Lake came last week to help with the harvest on his fathers farm. Mr. and Mrs. Miles Geddes and children went to Cottonwood Canyon on an overnight camping trip. Lorraine Youngstrom and children of Preston visited Saturday at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Miles. Blair A. Porter of Preston and Michael D. Jenkins of Bancroft are candidates for certificates in aircraft mechanics from the Idaho State University School of Vocational-Technic- Educa- al tion, while Robert Jensen of Grace is seeking an auto mechanics certificate and Alan Wyler, also of Grace, is seeking auto service mechanics certificate. Students seeking law enforcement certificates include Gary L. Stone of Preston and Alan L. Pugmire of Soda Springs. Merchandising certifies t e s are sought by Johnny Anderson of Grace and Scott G. Shuler of Soda Springs, while Vickie Wilkinson, also of Soda Springs, has chosen MOS drafting certification. Data processing technology student is Kay D. Smith of Bancroft, while Wilford of Bancroft seeks a certificate in business equipment repair. Students seeking cosmetology certificates include Kim Gentry of Soda Springs, Beverly Harris of Thatcher and Shirlene Roholt of Grace.
