Friday evening: July 28. The Reunion Committee has made arrangements for block seating at the Rodeo. The tickets are reserved seats for (2.50 each. If you would like to attend the Rodeo with the Class, please send your money to us before July 20. You will be able to pick up the tickets at the Rodeo Headquarters in town or at the reserved ticket booth at the rodeo grounds. If you have not sent your money in for the Saturday events, we must have it by July 25. If you are unable to attend the reunion and are interested in purchasing the booklet, send 50 cents to the Committee and we will be happy to forward a booklet to you. Hope to see you July 29. Sincerely, CLASS REUNION COMMITTEE new regulations concerning archery hunting were established recently by the Fish and Game Commission. All boys must have a minimum full weight of 40 pounds with a 28 inch draw or the equivalent. Only arrows having a minimum 4 inch broadhead may be used. It is illegal to use any poison or tranquilizing substance on the arrows. The archery regulations were passed to assure that bow hunters have adequate equipment to insure clean kills with proper hits. Little league Team II then defeated Smithfield 4 on the three run home run by Jeff Seamons. Pony league team I then beat Lewiston 20-- while Pony league Team II topped 2 Richmond on the fine pitching of Bob Duane and some excellent team hitting. GOLF Men's Tuesday Night League Golfer of the week, low gross Demar Merrill, 39. Golfer of the week, low net Earl Nelson, 324. Both golfers of the week received a 5 certificate from the pro shop. Closest to number nine, John Cole, won a new golf ball. Closest to number three, Ross Rasmussen, won a 5 certificate from Western Auto. -- . 6-- 0 7-- Insect Survey Is Underway Tuesday Evening League July 11 0 i Let's Visit with BOB SMYLIE, Your Proven Governor for 12 Years, Now a Candidate For Your -- A survey of the Franklin and Oneida county area is being undertaken by the University of Idaho Experimental Station at Aberdeen, with the intention of finding each apricot and peach tree now growing. Larry Sandvol, field supervisor of the survey, said that this is part of a pest manage-- . ment program attempting to manage green peach aphid, which transmits leaf roll virus of potatoes and yellows disease of sugar beets. The peach and apricot trees are the only hosts to this wintering-ove- r insect, which comes out and transfers to potatoes or sugar beets in the spring. The fire began to spread near the old pea vinery adjacent to Theo Schvaneveldts farm, and spread extensively before being brought under control . Volunteer firemen fought to keep the blaze from spreading to croplands. Citizen Photo Prestons first annual Pony league tournament gets under way today with Malad facing Montpelier at 1:00 p.m. The tournament looks like it will become one of the better tournaments in the area with hopes for expansion next year. Prizes for the tournament include a drink for a double, a malt for each triple, and a hamburger and a malt for each home run courtesy of the Preston Arctic Circle; a baseball to the outstanding pitcher and to the pitcher with the most strike outs, courtesy of Idaho Appliance; a bat for the player with the most hits, courtesy of Godfrey Hardware; $1 worth of per trees are not damaged by this pest.
