| Show MALAD CITY SENDS BIG COMPANY OF RECRUITS wednesday evening the first big company of recruits for the navy enlisted at malad idaho passed through Brig brigham hath city on their way to salt lake city to be mustered into the service there were fifteen in the company and thirty enlisted fifteen were found physically unfit upon being subjected to the physical examination and were therefore rejected the fifteen accepted are ralph mcclurg warren R n morgan samuel W price lewis hill jesso jesse D harrison arthur B peck john J williams melvin W jenkins herbert C board beard howell E mifflin hyrum L davis daniel L thomas sylvester T owen thomas S jones and william D dark clark malad sent her recruits off in grand style the city taking a day oft off to say farewell and to pay a tribute to the patriotism of the young men who have responded to their count rys call the recruits were conveyed to salt lake city in a profusely decorated railroad coach six of the recruits were in ili their senior year in the high school and immediately upon their enlistment the board ot of education met and graduated the boys aud and issued them their diplomas the farewell ceremonies included a meeting and dance and gohd the recruits were each presented a nice purse taken up in public sully sub |
