Monday Mr. and Mrs. Ther-o- n Smith and children visited with friends and relatives in Salt Lake City. They enjoyed a visit at the zoo. Karen Kay Forsgren and LaNae Harris, who are em-- j ployed at Alpine, spent the. weekend at the home of their parents, Mr, and Mrs. Wen-daForsgren, and Mr. and Mrs. Howard Harris. Mr. and Mrs. Weldon McGregor took their son Will to Salt Lake City Saturday morning. He will leave Salt Lake this week for Hawaii, and then to Japan where he will spend two years fulfilling a mission for the LDS church. A new family has moved into the Cleveland ward and is living in the Murat Mendenhall home. They are Mr. and Mrs. Millward, formerly of Soda Springs. Sherman Wright and Andy Denton spent the weekend in Jackson visiting some friends. Blake Mickelson of Mesquite, Nev., and Sherman Wright spent some time In Laramie, Wyo. Monday morning, Odessa McGregor, LaDean Burton, Bea Garbett, Audrey Wright, DeLane Alleman and Shauna Mendenhall joined other girls and officers of the MIA in Bannock Stake for girls camp at Ashton. They will return home Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Don Mendenhall and son of Phoenix, Ariz., are visiting his mother, Mrs. Ethel Mendenhall, and other relatives in the area. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Mendenhall and sons, Tabb, Todd and home last Leon, returned week from a two weeks trip to California where they visited his sister and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Borden, and his brother and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Monte Mendenhall. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Condie accompanied their daughter Darla to the Salt Lake airport Monday morning where she flew to Hawaii with a group of school teachers on a two week tour of the surrounding islands. Craig McGregor, son of Mr. and Mrs. Reed McGregor, who spent the winter months teaching at a school in Oregon, has come home to spend the summer. Sunday afternoon visitors of Mrs. Grace Harris were her granddaughter, Williams of Soda Springs, and her boy friend, Stanley Patterson of Salt Lake City. Mrs. Elva Ann Merriwea-the-r and children, Mr. and Mrs. Bud Keller and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Forman, spent Sunday in Idaho Falls where they attended open house honoring the 50th wedding and anniversary of his brother ForFred Mrs. and Mr. wife, man. With her leadership and the help of other officers and members, FHA had a very successful year. Also receiving a student council silver pin was LaRee Roberts, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vorman II. Roberts. LaRee was FHA degree chairman. With her encouragement and help, 10 girls earned their junior degrees. Carma Chatterton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. N. J. received the Chatterton, Home Economics departmental award for enthusiasm and outstanding accomplishments in Advance Home Economics. The 1970 Crisco Trophy was awarded to an outstanding senior girl in Home Economics, Marlene Bowman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. LaVon Bowman. Juneane Nielsen, who last fall was named to the National McCalls Fashion Board, has now won the 1970 Sterling Silver Homemaking Award which is a place setting of Gorham Sterling silver, Rose pattern, valued at 890. Juneane is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. O. H. Nielsen.
