Show Symphony Slates Season Finale Serkin will be at the piano keyboard for the two concerti. Because he is so much in demand all over the world, said Conductor Maurice Abravanel, it took exactly 25 years until we were able to have him perform at one of our concerts. Mr. Abravanel no doubt had reference to the fact that he is just completing his 26th consecutive season at the helm of the distinguished Utah orchestra. Rudolf Serkin is celebrated as one of the foremost keyboard artists in the clasical repertoire, in which he is second to none. Although April 14 marks the conclusion of the Utah Sym-phomain series in the Tabernacle, Mr Abravanel and the orchestra have scheduled three special concerts in the Salt Lake area, a number of school concerts around the state, another region tour and possibly more recording sessions before the musicians pack up their instruments for another season. . Maurice Abravanel and the Utah Symphony will ring down the final curtain on the Utah Symphony's 33rd season Saturday, April 14 at the orchestras last subscription concert which begins at 8 p.m. in the Salt Lake Tabernacle. Rudolf Serkin, one of the nation's most sought after pianists, will appear as soloist with the orchestra in its season finale. The same forces will also close the Ogden Symphony Guilds series at Weber State College Fine Arts Center Friday, 13. This years plant will apmillion fingerling proach 2 when the three agencies responsible for fish production complete their planting activities. The agencies involved are the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources, Wyoming Game and Fish Commission and the U.S. Bureau of Sport Fisheries and Wildlife. Biologists noted that planting at the reservoir will probably continue well into June because of the large number of fish planned for the reservoir. Mtn. Fuel Co.
