Show I Former resident QUj dies in Provo i Henrietta B. (Bert) Henriod Rowe, 80, died Tuesday even- ing at the Eldred Hospital in Provo. She was a resident of Eureka for a number of years prior to moving to Provo. She was born Sept. 11, 1883, in Nephi, a daughter of Gus J. and Ruth D. Hickman Henriod. She married John Francis Rowe on January 5, 1905, in Eureka. He died September 1, 1957. Mrs. Rowe received her early education in the Nephi schools and moved to Eureka with her family. She attended school in Provo and graduated from the Brigham Young Academy. Following her marriage, she made her home in Eureka until 1952 when she and her husband moved to Provo where she had since lived. She was a member of the Tintic Chapter No. 18, Order of Eastern Star, and was a former worthy matron of the group. She was a member of the White Shrine of Salt Lake City. Surviving are a son and a daughter, Mrs. Melvin (Jean) Briggs, Orem, and Gus F. Rowe of Denver, Colo.; four grandchildren, a brother and two sisters, Dean J. Henriod, Mrs. Emma George and Mrs. Leona Small all of Salt Lake City. Funeral services were held at noon in the Berg Drawing Room Chapel, Provo, with Tin-ti- c Chaper 18, Order of Eastern Star, officiating. Interment was in Provo City Cemetery. The oldest piece of music extant with English words is "Summer Is Icumen In, composed at Reading Abbey in the 13th century. Miss Mary Ellen Ferguson, who is teaching in the Salt Lake schools, spent the weekend here with her father, Bert Ferguson. Wilson Leo and his sons, Max, Rex and Glen and a son-in-la- w, Larry Regis spent the weekend at Fish Lake, participating in the deer hunt Mr. and Mrs. Charles Van Wagoner and three daughters of Mt. View, Calif., arrived last Thursday. Charles joined a hunting party from Nephi, and Mrs. Van Wagoner and daughters, are dividing their time between Nephi and Eureka, where they are guests of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Burton.
