The ceremony was performed Saturday evening Dec. 17 at 6 p.m., in the Elks club rooms with Bishop Lee Bird of the Newlyweds Mr. and Mrs. Carl E, Peterson were honored at wedding. a reception here following mid-Decemb- er chrys- flanked by floor candelabra of seven branches, holding pink tapers. The petite bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of white silk organza. A batteau neckline was enriched by' embroidered miniature roses. The empire waistline was accented with white satin. The floor length gown, swept into a chapel train, and her butterfly veil of illusion was caught with a crown of seed pearls and rhinestones. The bridal bouquet was a white orchid encircled by feathered carnations, with cascading white satin streamers. Miss Brenda Kay Gourley and Miss Vickie Newman, cousins of the bride were her attendants. They wore identically styled dresses of pale orchid nylon designed with double puffed sleeves and full skirts, accented with deeper orchid cummerbunds. They wore matching bouheadpieces and carried quets of orchid and white chrysanthemums. Flower girls Lana Sue Paxton and Deborah Laird, wore floor length pink nylon gowns and matching hats and carried miniature bouquets of feathered carnations. Mother of the bride selected a gown of pink organza with matching accessories, while Mrs. Walker donned a beige lace gown with matching accessories. They wore corsages of white feathered carnations. LeRoy Gourley, cousin of the bride, performed the duties of best man. A dinner in the afternoon in the club rooms honored the newlyweds, the wedding party, ' relatives and ' close friends. Following the wedding ceremony, a reception further honored the newlyweds. A program was presented as follows: vocal solo, Mrs. Gary Redmond; girls sextet, Julie Ann Cartwright, Eilen Fennell, Rose Ann Ferris, Maxine Paxman, Shan-n- a Ryan, and Marjorie Randle.
