The Friabya went to Payson Monday to take care of some business. A fireside chat will be held Thursday night at 7:30 p.m. for the young married people at the Clyde Collins home. Dr. Buxton will be the guest speaker. Loraine Farnsworth and a friend were home for the weekend, Thursday, Nov. 9, Loraine will graduate from the Continental Beauty College in Salt Lake. Her parents, the Lynn Farnsworth, will attend the graduation and bring Iaraine home. Mrs. Minnie Angus went to Bountiful to stay with her granddaughter, Diane Anderson, who has a new baby boy, she will spend two weeks with them. Last week Karl Shisler and Congressman Gunn McKay campaigned together through Summit and Morgan Counties. Karl is running for State Senator. e r. and mrs. Jess Miller have nearly Mr. and Mrs. Jess Miller have nearly completed their new Independence home and will soon be moving into it e Mr. and Mrs. Art Warren and parents from Rangely, Colo., had a short visit at the Jerry Hatch home. These people are relatives. Earl Rasmussen and Clarence Rich have gone to Montana where they have a contract painting which will take about two weeks. e Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Collins were in Salt Lake Tuesday where they took their daughter, Glenda, to see a doctor. e Mr. and Mrs.- - Warren Frisby and baby were here over the weekend. Warren for guard duty and Joyce visited relatives. Rev. and Mrs. John W. Blake are spending three days in Provo attending the Utah-Idah- o Annual Association Meeting of the Southern Baptist Church. Mrs. Blake will then come home and Rev. Blake will attend more meetings in Park City until Saturday. Two children were baptised Saturday and ordained into the LDS Church Sunday in Ballard at Sacrament meeting. Dixie, daughter of Jack Allred and Glory, daughter of Blaine Argyle. Two babies were blessed and named in Sacrament meeting Sunday at Ballard church. The son of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Platt was given the name of Kenyon Joseph and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Neldon Cooper was given the name of Micheal John. Raymond Murray is in Tucson, Aria., for two weeks training at Desert Willow Training Center. Murray is environmental health aide for the Public Health Service working out of the U & 0 Indian Health Clinic, Roosevelt. Houseguests of Mr. and Mrs. Mack Cole over the weekend were Mrs. Cole's sister and family, Mr. and Mrs.John Moorhuse and children of McNary, Aria. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Platt have moved into the Zane Asay home. Mr. I'latl is the Industrial Art teacher at Union high school and is from Cedar City where he graduated last spring from Southern Utah College. Melvin Murdock took Intramural wrestling championship in weight 152 lbs at Weber college in Ugden. e Mr. and Mrs. Don Herbert went to Salt Lake where they will attend to some business and Mr. Herbert will have a medical check up from his doctor. Vanderhoop spent the weekend in Salt Lake City as a guest of his cousin and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Forrest Curb. Mr. and Mrs. Albert La Rose also visited in Salt Lake City over the weekend. They were the guests of their niece and family, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Vialpondo. Mr. Herb liall of Brandon, Manitoba, Canada, is here visiting his stepson, Henry Harden. Head Start and Day Care personnel have been attending weekly workshops. Last week Mrs. Dora Curry, Duchesne County Lunchroom Supervisor, presented a session on meal planning, budgeting and preparing. This week the group heard Charles Wells, PIIS Service Unit I)im-tnr- , speak on Good Health Habits and Orderly Kitchen Management. Diane Valverdc , a student at the University of Utah, Salt Lake City, spent the weekend at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Anselmo Valvcrde. Wilbur Cuch of the Ute Tribe Business Committee was in Phoenix, Ariz., last week to meet with area officials on the Rocky Mountain Area Safety Committee. Mrs. Dan Crumbo entertained members of the Catholic Women's Club at her Fort Duchesne home last Thursday evening. Mrs. Gordon Ilarmston gave a film presentation on Germany where she lived four years.
