As a young woman she studied music In Salt Lake under Professor John McClellan and earned her diploma to teach piano and organ. She was organist for the Sunday School stake board. She married Jesse Samuel Brough Feb. 7, 1910 In the Salt Lake'LDS Temple. They spent the early years of their life In Lyman, Wyo., where Mr. Brough operated a farm equipment agency. In 1915 they moved to the Uintah Basin and first lived In the Trldell-Lapol- nt area, later moving to the Ouray valley. Their homestead is still being farmed by their sons. Even with her large family Mrs. Brough found time to serve on the Relief Society and Sunday School Ward and Stake boards. She has also served as president of the YWMIA and Primary organizations. She filled a Lamanlte mission to White-roc- ks with her husband for two years. They moved to Roosevelt In 1954. Mr. Brough died April 11, 1958. She continued to teach piano until two years before her death. Part of her teaching was done at Avalon Elementary school where she Instructed music several years prior to Its closing. Rwonevelt Utah STANDARD Thursday, October 1, 1970 Dogs will be removed from school grounds All stray dogs found at the Roosevelt school grounds will be elementary removed by the city dog catcher, reported Dallas Murray, principal. He said that there were so many dogs loitering at the school that they had become a nuisance. One student was bitten on the hand by one of the dogs. The Roosevelt city council approved the action to remove the dogs from the vicinity of the school so anyone having dogs should restrain ;hem so they will not follow children to school.
