Sixteen old friends and relatives from Arcadia, Roosevelt and the Pleasant Valley area were present to greet Mrs. Shields and extend their good wishes as they presented her with lovely gifts. Weekend guests at the ranch home of Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Dennis were Wm Watkins, an uncle of Mrs. Dennis, who came from Salt Lake and Mr. and Mrs. Stewart Dennis of Logan. Elder and Mrs. Richard E. Leader came from the First Presbyterian Church in Salt Lake to conduct the Sunday service of the Myton Presbyterian Church. Ther sermon was delivered by both Mr, and Mrs, Leader. Special music was a vocal solo by Mrs. Geneveve Miller accompanied by Mrs. Robert George. A social hour was enjoyed as the members greeted Mr. and Mrs. Leader and their three sons. The Leader family had not visited Myton during the past few years and enjoyed greeting many old friends. Max Peatross was confined to the Roosevelt hospital last week and is now convalescing at his home. -Wayne Ross left Tuesday to attend college at Dixie College in St. George. Neil Fllligin was confirmed a member of the LDS Church by his father Leon Filllngln at Sacrament meeting Sunday. Visitors at the home of Mr, and Mrs. Harold Groves during the past week were Mr. and their son and daughter-in-laMrs. Chris Groves and daughter from Phoenix, Arlz., also their son, Harold who came from Denver. Mrs. Lillian Lott and Mrs. Grace Dalglelsh were dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. William Linck in Roosevelt, Sunday where they were Joined by Mrs. VI Harmston. Stanley Johnson who served a two year mission for the LDS Church in New Zealand returned home last week and is now at the home of Ms parents, Mr. and Mrs. Smith Johnson. The Aghley Stake high Priests and their wives met at the Lapolnt Chapel Saturday night and held a meeting and program, pot luck lunch was served to a large crowd. Mrs. Grace Moore and daughter Dixie visited in Richfield with Glen Hartle and the Max Hartle family and to Provo and visited with Pamella and Rickey Moore who are attending school at the BYU the weekend. James Esplln and daughter Valene attended the funeral of his sister at Orderville on Monday. She was 56 years dd and died of a heart attack. -Mrs, Stan Perry had surgery at a hospital in Salt Lake the past week. She is reported as doing OK. She is the daughter of Mrs. McCoy Nyberg. Mrs. Lavella Mathews, Mrs. Ora Swain, and Mrs. Wilma Angus were visitors in Salt Lake the past week. Kay Winn, Wayne Bastlan and Ray Jensen took a load of horses to Fort Morgan, Colo. Thursday night and will attend the horse sale being held there. r. and Mrs. John Wardle of Mesa, Arlz. are visiting Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Caldwell.
