Show SENSATIONAL THRILLERS AT PANTAGES THEATRE WONDERFUL show bill is pre- A sented at the Pantages Theatre week. The feature picture with that clown lover, William Haines is i knockout for comedy and laughs this thrilling situations. He takes the lead in The Smart Set, supported by Alice Day and Wm. Holt, together uid with a super cast. The story is of a polo game in which Haines brings the cup to America in a sensational finish of an uphill game which looked like a cinch for England to win. Haines teasing antics wins for him a bride who could not help but fall in love with this daredevil. This picture is really worth the price of admission. Seldon Heaps, as usual, makes a hit with his special introductory number, on the organ. The Herbert-Bo- lt Trio, known as The Slow Motion Athletes, two men and a girl. The latter is of the rubber kind, being able to bend and twist in all manner of shapes and positions. The men are strong and perform some remarkable feats of strength. Elden Tuft, winner of the Salt Lake Telegram - Mountain States Radio Trades Association radio vocal contest, makes a big hit with his rich baritone voice. After winning the in- - termountain contest his appearance was secured for the Pafttages theatre. Kerr and Weston, Stepping in Society put on a chattering act with a checkroom girl that brings the laughs, but the pretty dancing girl really puts the artistic finishing touches to the act. Dolores Lopez, the pretty dark eyed beauty with a nightingale voice charms the audience. She is recalled several times and gets much applause. She has a great personality and knows how to sing with her beautiful so- prano voice. Roger Williams On the Air is a comedian and imitator of the first class and he keeps the audience laughing with his many wonderful mimics of railroad engine, aeroplane, comet, banjo, etc., sounds in such a natural way as to deceive the average person. Joe Fanton & Company present Seconds of Suspense in a most thrilling manner. This act is acrobatic but of the daredevil type where a miss means the hospital for the performer. Marion Davies in The Patsey, a big comedy success will be the feature picture for next week commencing Wednesday afternoon. Dorothy: But, surely, you didnt tell him straight out that you loved him ? POLLOCKS BIG HIT COMES TO WILKES THEATRE PLAYS by Channing Pollock, Salt Lake man, who has won worldwide fame as a playwright, have always had such a lure for Salt Lake playgoers that packed houses have greeted his creations. Both The Fool and The Enemy have played to tremendous business when the Wilkes Players put them on at the Wilkes theatre. Consequently the announcement that Pollocks big hit, The Sign on the Door, is to be presented by the Wilkes Players at the Wilkes theatre, starting Sunday matinee, is worthy of more than passing notice.
