The Inland Crystal Salt company of this city announce that they will rebuild their plant which was recently destroyed by fire. Architects Wooley and Evans are preparing the plans for a modern apartment house to be constructed on Canyon road. The building will he three stories. Rowland, of this city, was awarded the contract for the construction of the Kress department store building to be constructed at Boise at an estimated cost of $100,000. C. A. Baldwin, Pocatello, was low bidder on the Congregational church to be constructed at Pocatello with a bid of $28,802. Scott and Welch, architects, announce that the plans for the School of Mines building at the University of Utah will be completed about August 5th and bids for this construction should be called for at an early date. The bids for the construction of the Mechanics Art building to be erected at Magna, Utah, by the Granite school district, will be opened at 7:30 p. m., August 1st, at the office of the Board of Education of that district. MINING MEN TO MEET Mining men will hold a convention at Salt Lake City during the week of August 22 to discuss economic, legislative, technical and cooperative problems of the metal mining industry.
