She and Sam Anderton were married in the Sait Lake LDS Temple Saturday, Nov. 19. Mrs. Margaret Rudy attended sessions at the Provo LDS Temple with her daughter and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Kip Merkley, and son Steven. Sunday she accompanied members of her family, Katherine Hall and two daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Orvii Rudy and Mr. and Mrs. John Gardner to Duchesne for Sacrament meeting where her grandson Steven Merkley, gave his farewell testimonial prior to leaving for a two-yemission in Australia. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Ross of Green River, Utah, were Tuesday overnight guests of his brother and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Marion Ross. Dr. and Mrs. Daniel Dennis went to Salt Lake last week where he attended a legislative meeting and she did research work at the Geneology Library. The time for the meeting is one half-hou-r earlier, at 7 p.m. due to the activities outlined. JoAnn Miles, a BYU graduate with a degree in interior design, has arranged a Home Show" tour to visit several new and remodeled homes, in the Upper Communities. Special interest will focus on the different interior ideas used by the homeowners. Rides will leave from the school. After the home show tour, the group will return to the Elementary, where the Rainbow Choraliers will entertain with Christmas music and the Duchesne County CowBelles will serve samples of beef recipes, including fondue, Swiss Steak, beef salami and sweet and sour beef. The CowBelles will furnish copies of the recipes, heef promotion materials and door prizes. Everyone is invited. For Bring N Brag bring samples of Christmas cookies, candies, gift wrapping and decorating ideas. The Uintah Basin Exhibition dance team, under the direction of Ladd and Helen Wilkins of Roosevelt, will be competing in dance competition it the California Star Ballroom at the Universal Hotel in North Hollywood, Calif., this weekend. Wilkens said the event is the largest dance competition in the western United States, with novice, amateur and professional formal dance teams from the western US, Canada, England, Australia and other countries. The competition runs from Nov. 24 Bridge clubs name winners Don Reese entertained the Night Bridge Club at her home. A dessert luncheon was served to the members and guests, Mrs. Beth Felter, Mrs. Monday Mrs. Polly Baucuum. and Bland, Mrs. Don through 27. While in California, the group plans to visit Disneyland and Universal Studios. Sherrie Buchanan, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Rollin Buchanan of Roosevelt, has been called to serve an mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-da-y Saints in the Ohio Columbus Mission. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt take LDS temple. The couple resided in the basin until 1955, when they moved to Syracuse. She has been active in the LDS Church, including serving as a Relief Society visiting teacher for 50 years. One of her two children is still living. Carl Nile Smith of Battle Creek, Mich.
