Dr. Darrel E. AUington of Salt Lake City will give the keynote address for the session, discussing the concept that all children have talents which are untapped and creative abilities which are not noticed. AUington will talk with the teachers on going further in trapping these talents, abilities and gifts. His presentation is titled, Identification and maximal use of childrens talents. Parents interested in learning more about these concepts are also invited to the workshop to learn how to encourage these talents and abilities at home. AUington, art supervisor for the Granite School District, is also in charge of aU media programs for the district. Glass is scheduled to fight Fred Nash, 20, of New York City, the Air Force d class. Nash is Champion in the week in the fighting this boxing tournament at Fort Collins, Colo. Martinez said if anything happens to Nash during this week's tournament or if his doctors feel that he should not fight someone of Glass' caliber so soon after the tournament, an alternate will be called in for the match. The alternate for the fight is Dave Ramos, the 1977 Utah state AAU and Golden Gloves champion in the class who is just moving up to the d category. Tentatively scheduled to appear on Saturdays card are defending state champions Eddie Martinez at 110 pounds, Lee Martinez and Andy Santio at 125 and Robert Bunch at 140. Other experienced fighters slated to appear are Joe Bushead at 148, Dave Swenson at 156, Michael Martinez at 50, Lucas Santio and Wesley Kroon at 80. Boys making their debuts will be Blaine Unca Sam and Dallas and Clint Myton community . The play will begin at 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, November 11 and 12 and features a 30 member cAVt of DHS Students. The plw.was taken directly from the first of a Ares novel sel written by J. R. Tolkien and has king been a favorite classic read by high school through college students. The play and book deal with the happening in a fantasy world and inhabited by gnomes, dwarfs fearsome creatures. The hero of the dramacomedy is Bilbo the Hobbit, by Chris Peatross, who travels throughout this mystical land seeking the Dwarfs Treasure on Lonely Mountain. During the course of his adventures he encounters elves, trolls and goblins and fights huge and fierce battles in his pursuit of the riches on the mountain. The play will also feature performances by Terry Lewis as Gandolf the wizard, Brent Gunderson as the heaqd dwarf and Margaret Colbert as the Elvin Queen. The story will be highlighted by extensive feottuiflifig and lighting and will' include the 'Appearance of a huge dragon among other wonders of this fantasy world. Director Dennis Stott describes the production as enjoyable for all ages from grandchildren to grandmothers and invites everyone to attend.
