S. 40 at Myton identified as Federal Aid Project No. The length of road to be constructed or improved is 0.509 miles, and the principal items of work are approxi- mately as follows: 138 Tons of Bituminous Material, 1950 Tons of Bituminous Surface Course ft" Maximum and 1890 Tons of Untreated Base Course ft or 1 Maximum. The project is to be completed in 30 working days. The attention of bidders is directed to the Special Provisions covering subletting or assigning the contract In conformity with the Federal-ai- d Highway Act of 1968 the U. S. Department of Labor has certified the wage rates for this project which are the minimum wages to be paid on this project These rates are made a part of the contract documents. The attention of bidders is directed to the fact that this Department has been advised by the Wage and Hour Division, U. S. Department of Labor, that contractors ; engaged in highway construction work are required to meet the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938, (52 StaL 1060). The Utah Department of Transportation, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252) and the Regulations of the Department of Commerce (15 CFR, Part 8.) issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that the contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder without discrimination on the grounds of race, color, or national origjn.
