LDS TEMPLE RITES UNITE COUPLE AAAY 1 9 Barbara former Barbara Jones, daughter of Clarence W. and Roberta Jones of Roosevelt and Calvin Richens, son of Charles and Iona Richens of Roosevelt were united in holy matrimony for time and all eternity May 1 9 in the Salt Lake Temple. Edward Swenson of the Temple Presidency preformed the ceremony. A reception was held in their honor May 22 at the Roosevelt Ward ChapeL The bride greeted their guests in a floor length white polyester dress with princhss lines. The bodice and long sleeves were covered with lace. Her veil was of the same lace in a Spanish style. She carried a bouquet of red roses, white carnations and baby breath. The groom was in blue. Her sisters Frances Stultz and Lucy Jones were her attendants. They wore floor length dresses of red, cheeked gingham dotted swiss with white lace trim. They wore white hats and carried 3 white carnations with red Alfred Morrill family reunion held ribbons. The best man was Herald Crapo, Jr. The Alfred Morrill family met at Iron where 85 family Springs last week Out of the reunion. a member enjoyed attending were Dr. basin members Robert McClellan and friend Nancy Jones from Lansing, Michigan. Mr. and Mrs. Max Morrill and family, Salt Lake, Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Barnes. Bountiful Mr. and Mrs. Daerald Rich, Roy, Mr. and Mrs. Terry Barnes, Price, Mr. and Mrs. Lee R. Morrill Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Morrill Salt Lake. Miss LaRee Jones and Mrs. Glenna Alama sat at the guest book. Mrs. Eileen Nelson and Miss Lurlene Westergard wer in charge of the gifts. Tend and Tami Crosier, Julie Buxton and Lori Larsen served the guests. Mrs. Diane Buxton, Mrs. Agnes Prichard, Mrs. Kathy Hall, Mrs. Sanna Rae Draper and Mrs. Joan Crosier helped in the kitchen, also Mary Lou Mangan, and Jennifer White. The wedding cake was made by Mrs. Sara Lee Kettle, a sister of the groom. It was 3 tiered with a miniature repliea of the Salt Lake Temple on top and a small bride and groom sitting on a love seat between tiers. Johnson announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter Kathleen to Craig Raymond Kelsey, son of Mr. and both from Duchesne. They will be married in the Provo LDS Temple on August 14. A reception will be held in their honor on Saturday evening, August 14, st the Duchesne Stake Center. Buchanan reunion held Members of the Buchanan family gathered for a reunion July 9, 10, and 11 in honor of John Lorenzo and Julia Ann Buchanan at the Iron Mine Campground above Delia's Dude Ranch. There was 185 descendants present during the three day event Saturday was the big day and began with a family meeting where history and business was discussed. The day was spent tubing down the river, playing family games snd visiting. Traditional home-mad- e ice cream was made and served by Irvin Jefferey. Kirk and Jennifer Seeley are the happy first time parents of a baby boy born July 9th in the Duchesne County Hospital The little fellow will be named Mathew and he weighed 7 lbs. 14 oz. Happy grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Seeley of Bluebell and Max Jones of Logan; great grandmothers are Mrs. Ethel Jones of WellsviUe, Utah and Mrs. Jennie Goodrich of Salt Lake City. The Wilkins family reunion was held on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Moon Lake with some 125 descendents visiting and getting acquainted. Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Winkler, Mrs. Verona Goodrich, Mr. and Mrs. Wilmer Murray, Mrs. Beth Duke, Mrs. Maxine Todd, Mrs. Marda Winkler, Mrs. Shana Lee Lortscher and Pauline Winkler all drove to Salem on Saturday to attend an Ira Gardner and Alice Snow family reunion. Bernard Winkler was reelected president of the family. Udell and Bernard Winkler were in Mrs. Lester Bartlett received word Sunday of the death of her sister Ardith Haws. Mrs. Haws was killed Saturday in a car accident. Mrs. Haws grew up in Tridell and her death came as a shock to the community. The Bartlett'f attended the funeral in Midway Wednesday. e The Tridell Ward celebrated the 4th of July at Summit Park Saturday. A large crowd was in attendance and everyone had a good time. The Elder's Quorum was in charge of the celebration, e Mr. and Mrs. Terry McKee were able to bring their new baby boy home from the Roosevelt Hospital Friday. The baby was born premature and it was necessary for him to remain in the hospital for a few weeks. Mr. and Mrs. DeVon McKee, Phyllis, Janet and Darwin vacationed in Idaho from Thursday until Monday night They visited the Loren McKee family from Cambridge. Mr. and Mrs. Doyle Haslem from New Jersey, are visiting at the Ray Haslem home. Beulah Garrkh from Ahnagard, New Mexico, is visiting at the Lester Bartlett' home. She came to Utah to attend the funeral of her sister, Ardith. Mr. and Mrs. Loren McKee from Cambridge, Idaho, visited in Tridell with relatives from Wednesday until Friday. They also came to attend the funeral for Mrs. Haws. Glenn Merrell and Sue White from Sparks, Nevada, spent the 4th of July Holidays at the Darrell Merrill home. The J. L. Kitchen's went to Midway Wednesday to attend the funeral of Ardith Cook Haws. Ricky Perry is still wearing a cast on his leg. He broke his ankle on the mountain when a pole fell on his leg. e Mr. and Mrs. Donald Trujello and family visited with Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Merkley and' Mr. and Mrs. Milt Wilson during the holidays. e Mr. and Mrs. Clark McKee are vacationing in Salt Lake for a few days. Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Simmons are the proud owners of a new homd. The intermountin precision built home was brought in from Ogden with Ray Haslem as contractor. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Haslem returned home Saturday night after a trip to the Eastern states. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Haslem accompanied them on their trip. They went to Burlington, New Jersey to witness the marriage of Doyle Haslem and JoAnne Pierce. They also planned on attending a session at the Washington D. C. Mrs. Sharon West of Logan is here visiting with her parents, the Dean Roberts. Mr. and Mrs. Dean Roberts spent one day last week at the Provo Temple. Afterwards they visited with friends and relatives. Carolyn Miles and Carina Mathews drove to Provo on Sunday afternoon where they were helping plan a Goodrich reunion. They returned home on Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Ron Miles and family spent a few days visiting in Lander, Wyoming with Ralph and Ardis Johnson and family.
