STANDARD Rig" means Rethinking IQ". It'a beginning emerged some 25 odd years ago when Mr. Nance discovered that la teaching elementary and junior high students, they responded intently to stories about his own boyhood hangup and how he learned to overcome them. He learned that helping children to. understand that the mind functions as a recorder with a simple record and playback, helps to teach children to with a positive replace negative self-tal- k image of themself. A group of students, now in the third month of their four month experimental program, were recently administered a computerized psychological test by BYU professors Thomas and Hansen. The results demonstrated a very significant increase in a goal few similar programs have been able to achieve. The results of the program may be pointed out also by comments made by a boy who had completed the program recently. My hangup was people, he said. I didnt think they liked me, so I picked fights and got in trouble and hated school. But Riq helped me to unthink and rethink that people like me. I used to hate this horrible school Now I like school a lot, and I'm starting to learn something." Students in the local schools really took to the program, and look forward to its continuation.
