Robb, son of Mr. and Mrs. Mrs. Rosebell.Aoies Mr. and Mrs. Max Thompson are the proud parents of a baby girl born to them the 25th. The little miss weighed in at 67i lbs. and was 21 inches long. She will answer to the name Kimberly. She has tiro older brothers at home. Proud grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Dean Reay of Altonah and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Thompson of Talmage. e Mr. and Mrs. Phil Hansen are the proud new parents of a baby girl born to them Thursday. The little gal weighed in at 7 Iba. 4 ok. and was 18'i inches long. Her name will be Kathrine Krinken Hansen. New grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Lee Hansen of Salt Lake and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Pitts of Providence Rhoade Island. Mrs. Valeen Holgate and children are visiting in St George with Mrs. Holgates parents for a couple of weeks. John Barton has been home from the BYU for a week on Spring Vacation. He returned Sunday. e Cindy Butler and daughter, Connie were up from Snow College visiting with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Jack Barton, s Lynn and Norma Hansen went to Salt Lake Friday to attend a wedding for Michael and Glenda reception its Sue La Rose, 2045 High Street, Topeka Kansas 66004. Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Dastrup attended the graduation of their son Kent at BYU last week. Kent graduated with a bachelors degree in Animal Science. Those who attended the funeral services for Mrs. Caroline Dorthella Dastrup were Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Datrup, Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Dastrup, and Mr. and Mrs. Kent Dastrup. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Jones entertained a birthday party in honor of Mr. Lynn McClure. On hand to help celebrate were his wife, Thelma, Ken and Onie Ross, Danny and Paula Dunsmore and son, Steve and Annette Dunsmore and family. had the Mr. George Carroll misfortune of cutting and smashing three fingers in a grain roller. Duane Rasmussen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Rasmussen had a tonsflec-tomon Monday. Theron'Robb of Utahn. The couple plan to be married June 27, in the LDS Temple. Irene has been active in school as cheerleader, team, vice marching president of pep club and prom queen in 1974. She has also been active in sports both in school and church. She placed with high honors at track meets last week. She is also interested in horses and related activities. Wayne is a graduate of the class of 1971 in Duchesne high and also seminary. He was active in basketball, track and on the wrestling team. He was also chosen Junior Prom King. At the present he is employed by Trans-WesterCompany in Duchesne as a dispatcher. Beauty pageant ' n p 7 hold gives report at UFWC convention Members of the Socialette Club attended the Uintah Basin District UFWC convention April 23 in Vernal. President Mrs. Phil Brotherson gave the clubs annual report and introduced new officers for the year ahead, Mrs. Ronald Egan, district first vice president and Socialette member reported on fund raising projects for the district The meeting, conducted by Mrs. Dick Andrews, Roosevelt was highlighted by the presence of the UFWC First Vice President Mrs. Thomas Barker. The dub will install new officers during a dinner meeting May 8. Monday bridge club meet Mrs. Thelma Linck entertained the bridge club in her home Monday. All members were present to enjoy a lovely evening of bridge. A dessert luncheon was served. Give her your me Mrs. George Fisher Sr. and Mr. and Mrs. Heber Timothy recently returned from a trip in a motor bus to Capital Reef National Monument, Canyon Lands, Lake Powell, Zions Canyon and the SL George area. Culture club Saturday night bridge held attends UFWC convention Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Yack and Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Berg entertained Saturday Night Bridge Club at the Frontier Grill last week. Following dinner bridge was played. Guests were Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Ray. Prizes were won by James Hall, Ann Ray, Fern Nelson, and Edward Yack. April 23rd the District Federated Womens Convention was held at the Ashley Elementary School in VernaL District president Leora Andrews conducted the meeting. State president Mrs. Thomas Barker talked and each club president reported on her clubs activities for the past year and introduced new officers for the coming year. Mrs. Marion Ross, Duchesne County Mother of the Year was introduced by Des Labrum. Twelve members, Mrs. Ross, and one guest Ruby Murphy were driven over by Shirley SmalL Culture Club is now selling tickets for a quilt to help raise money for the Roosevelt Memorial Park Gateway, and would appreciate everyone's participation. A brunch and installation of new club officers is scheduled for Saturday May 17th for all members. Tuesday bridge club held Mrs. Thelma Linck held a special party for Tuesday Bridge Club. All members of the club were present. Prizes were won by Tresa Harmston, Peggy Deller and Margo Denver. Mrs. Linck served the ladies a dessert for refreshments. life... Duchesne County, Friday, May 5, in the Roosevelt LDS Stake center from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The clinic will be for uterine and breast cancer and will be open for women eighteen years of age and over who have not had a PAP test during the past year. John is a 1971 graduate of Union high school of Roosevelt, where he was active in track and in sprats excelling which he continued at y Snow College the following year. John completed an LDS Church mission to Southeast Mexico and is now completing his sophomore year at Ricks College. The couple will make their home in Roosevelt until fall when they will continue their education at BYU in Provo. Cindy Rust flew back to North Little Rock, Arkansas to visit with her sister Susan. They will both return home this week. Susan is being transferred to Vernal as a telephone operator.
