Dinner was furnished by cub scout mothers, flowers by Maris Secrest. A catapult race and rocket races were held. Mark Miller won 1st place on the Catapult race, Shane Nielson 2nd place and Wayne Murphy 3rd. Winners on the rocket race were Shane Neilson 1st, and Mark Miller 2nd. Catapult race winners each received a certificate and the rocket winners received a first and second place plague. Other boys participating received a rocket derby ribbon. Awards were received by the following boys, The Engineer, Sportsman and Traveler awards: Dale Betts, Mark Miller, John Tryon, Shane Neilson and William Tryon. Open to boys 10 to 12 years of age, whether or not affiliated with a Little League team, the Summer Camp at San Bernardino provides a variety of recreation with the emphasis on fundamentals of baseball. Camp games are played on the Western Regional Championship field where, in August, Little League State Champions from the 13 Western States meet to determine the Western Regional representative in the World Series. d In addition to a baseball program, boys attending the camp participate in swimming, basketball, volleyball, table tennis and other recreational activities. Kimball, world leader of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-daSaints, will formally inaugu rate a open house period at the Arizona Mormon newly remodeled Temple. President Kimball, who was raised in Arizona, and who became the leader of the world's 3.5 million Mormons in late 1973, will host invited news media representatives on a preview tour of the temple after a news conference Monday, March 17, at 1:30 p.m. On Tuesday, March 18, President Kimball will act as host during a tour by specially invited government, business, civic and church leaders in Arizona. With him will be his first counselor in the Church's First Presidency, President N. Eldon Tanner. Public tours will begin Wednesday, March 19, and will continue through April 3, except on Sundays and on Monday evenings. Regular open house hours will be 8 a.m. until 10 p.m., except on Mondays, when they will be 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tours of the temple are free, but tickets are required for crowd control.
