SAVERS-Ameri- can Cancer society sets information drive to save Basin area lives American Cancer Society volunteer Neighbor Savers will begin marching in the Roosevelt, My ton, and Neola residential area on April 1. Object: Visit every home in these three areas armed with basic information concerning cancer. Area residents need to detect signs that might indicate cancer, and the volunteers will urge persons who notice clanger signals to see their physician. Statistics have shown that this Neighbor Saver Campaign has the potential of saving the lives of ten cancer victims in this area. A similar campaign will begin in the business district on March 15. In addition to the basic cancer information which will be taken to the homes by the Neighbor Savers, they will be asking for voluntary contributions to carry on the fight against cancer. The goal for the Roosevelt, Myton, and Neola Areas is $2100. A small price to pay for saving ten lives. It is estimated that 2,100 people in Utah will get cancer this year. Seven hundred will be saved by early diagnosis and treatment while an additional 350 can be saved by heeding the message of the Neighbor Saver.
