GOLFING GALS GALORE For And About Teenagers THIS WEEKS LETTER: I have a problem that many girls my age have. I need some good advice about what to do. I am 14 r years old. 1 have a and my mother is the old fashioned kind of mother. 1 also have an 18 year-olbossy sister. We don't get alung at all. Recently, my mother has been blaming ine every time my sister and I have a light. I'm not allowed to go to games or dances at school or anything else for that matter. Often, I have turned to running away, smoking, drinking and drugs. If it wasn't for my sister. I would feel like the queen of the world instead of feeling like an ant stuck in a hole just waiting for a chance to get out without being stepped on. Everything I've ever wanted my sister made my mother give me the opposite of. If this keeps up. only God knows what I'll turn to next. OIR REPLY: We think you step-fathe- d are venting a lot of steam olf in this letter and that is good. We agree that your situation may lie bad. but we feel you must discuss your problems with your parents. Let them know how you feel. We feel they should allow you to go to games and dances at school at your age. They may not want you to start dating yet, but they should give you a little bit of freedom. As you've found out. running away, smoking, drinking and drugs dont really help after all. These are just ways of showing everyone (and most of all showing yourself) how very immature you must be. Happiness doesnt always just sometimes you have happen to work at it. At least give it a talk your problems over try with your parents.
