Mar Layne Mullins spent the past week in California, she went as a chaperon to a group of girls from the friendship club at Union. They enjoyed Disneyland, Knott's Berry Farm, the Zoo and Marine Land at San Diego. That evening they also attended graduation for their daughter, Linda Wood from LDS Business College in Salt Lake. Work day was held Tuesday at Relief Society with a lesson on nutrition by Dorothy Price. Pot luck lunch was served at noon and the rest of the day was spent painting ceramics. Mrs. Hal Firth was there to help and many nice articles were painted. Some of the ladies are doing articles for Christmas presents. A good group attended and a fine day enjoyed by all who were in attendance. Mr. and Mrs. Craig Thomas were able to bring their daughter, Terra home from the Heber Hospital this weekend after having had her there very ill for a week. The ward leaders were very pleased with the good turnout and hope they will continue to serve in this work. Mr. and Mrs. Charles (Cindy) Skewes and baby went to Logan last Sunday to get the rest of their clothes and other belongings. They stopped in Bountiful and visited Charles sister, Ann, who had just returned from Florida for a weeks vacation. She will return to continue her work. She had never seen the new baby so had a pleasant visit and showed off the |
