The units will be allowed on a trial basis for one year to determine their effectiveness and safety record. Highway Department officials will develop a set of regulations governing equipment standards, maintenance and driver qualifications. The Road Commission will consider these regulations at their January 11th meeting in Salt Lake City. If the regulations are approved, there will be a thirty day period in which interested parties may comment on the proposal. At the end of this period a finalized set of regulations will be approved and placed into effect. The triple trailer units will be restricted to sections of multilane divided from highway which would include north Weber to south Utah County and from Parowan to the Arizona line and from Salt Lake City to Wendover. Operation of the triple trailer units will probably not be allowed to begin until spring and the units will probably be restricted from highways during peak traffics periods. 5 0 8 oz..
