Show Page 8 The Utah Independent October 28, 1976 THE The Paper That Dares To Take A Stand E.P. THORNTON rvi y COLUMN SALTER SAYS Written October 9, if this is election I before published prayerfully hope it will influence some readers to vote for an informed patriot, Thomas Anderson of the American Party. I have no fish to fry, and do not even know his South Carolina organizers, but he and his party are so far above Ford, and ignorant, vicious Carter, that sly, evasive, an make must AMERICANS that AMERICAN CHOICE, AND NOT A PARTY LINE CHOICE or risk losing everything we hold dear. In that second debate Carter had a natural advantage. He could accuse Ford of mistakes, putting Ford in a bumbling defensive position especially about Panama, Kissinger, and the Helsinki Accord during which Ford and Kissinger approved Russias takeover of their slave states. Carter and his shrewd aides at least read the papers, and evidently Ford doesnt read anything. Of the dozens of people I have talked with, every one of them, men and women, understood about Russias captive Innations but Ford didn't! credible! On the Canal issue, to a Carter dig Ford replied We are not going to give up our right to USE the Canal. What does that mean? It means that once we give up our SOVEREIGNTY over the Canal, and let some communist country run it, we wont have any more right to use it than we have a right" to break down the Berlin wall into East Germany. With communists, possession is nine points of the law, and might makes right. We either keep the Canal, or we lose it. There is no middle ground in a communist deal. They dont play for a draw. About Kissinger. Lost on Ford is the grass roots outcry of millions who distrust Herr Henry, and the several BOOKS in which he is called a communist agent. Like all presidents. Ford is imprisoned behind a curtain of aides (guards) put there by the men who support him in office. They are the minions of the Rockefellers and the International Bankers. They determine he hears what largely and sees and who sees him. Let highly qualified Earl Butts get a little too open with a remark about negroes, and he gets the axe (the Republican Party could use a few negro votes). But let Kissinger (Rockefellers try to give away our Canal, let him strut around waving his Nobel Prize for having turned over Southeast Asia to the North Vietnamese butchers, let him propagate the monstrous lie that Rhodesia is mistreating blacks and is about to be attacked, and what does Kissinger get? Not the non-elect- By Bob Salter Perhaps it's time to sum up again. If we don't step back and take a look every once in a while we are liable to lose our perspective. Is the news good or is it bad? Again, that all depends. If you are socialistic the state of the world is good. If not, then it is bad. In all reality, it is really bad for both except that the socialist is too lacking in garden variety common sense to realize that the human element will always enter in and the system will not work. On the economy, conservative economists can't even agree among themselves as to the cure. They all agree however, that the end is now in sight. Not today or tomorrow, perhaps, but in, say 14, 18 or 24 months. This should give everyone time to prepare but you and I know that we wont. We always expect that it will happen to the other guy. The Secretary of the Navy claims that we are now in a state of The emergency militarily. Secretary of the Army told me that he concurred completely. Now that the USSR has surpassed us in every category except helicopters, and is moving ahead on a wartime footing, they are not at all sure of her motives. Peru is arming to the teeth enough to take on at least three of her neighbors. We can expect trouble in the future. Last week we sold Russia another six million bushels of wheat which, I have been told, she is putting underground. Two days later it was announced that the price of wheat would increase. What amazes me more than anything else is that I hear no outcry from anyone. I could probably write another five or six weeks enumerating these things and hear nothing but silence from the sheep. To sum up, it boils down to this: world government is on the horizon. Either that or the greatest depression the world has ever seen. Perhaps both because, if it happens here, it will be worse everywhere else. This is one thing the socialists havent counted on. Russia figures that with the forces at her command she can put us on a few hours notice. Would we capitulate? Probably. But what government could stay in power in such a depression. Not ours or even Russias for that matter, and at a time like that the starving masses would make Chairman Mao and all his murders look like childs play. Better forego that extra pleasure and stock food, clothing, medicines and anything you might need for survival. Think of it this way if nothing happens (but it will) you can still use the merchandise. oooooooooooooooo EXPOSE YOUR FRIENDS to the Utah Independent 12 Assorted Back Issues for ONLY SI. 00 OQQOOOOOOOQQ0OOO ed axe that Butts got, but a pledge of eternal loyalty! That is about like spanking one child for tracking a little mud into the parlor, and rewarding child for slitting grandmothers throat. For the information of another President Ford, and maybe a few younger adults, I quote from World Book Encyclopedia IRON CURTAIN is a phrase made popular by Sir Winston Churchill. It refers to Russias isolation policy that cuts off Russia AND ITS EUROPEAN SATELLITE COUNTRIES from the rest of the world. From the same source I came up with a definition of SATELLITE STATE. Listen, A Mr. President. country please, whose policies are dominated by another more powerful country. In Europe, after World War II, such countries under control, of Russia include Bulgaria, Czechoslovakia, Hungary, POLAND ng ONE WORLD GOVERNMENT, and (hold your hats) a member of the Board of Directors of the NEW YORK TIMES! A recent group photo of the Board shows eight men, FOUR of whom are members of the Council on Foreign Relations! Can you now understand why Rockefeller's accandidates, tivities and interests receive such good treatment? It seems IMPOSSIBLE for AMERICA to win with either candidate. The alternative? Our vote will count if we try to make a showing with Thomas Anderson and the American Party, 100 River Road, Pigeon Forge, Tenn. 37863. NOT TO VOTE is to give up in despair just what the enemy wants us to do. Such an attitude would also rub off on some of those around you. That would hurt America. It WAS our country. We can only get it back at the ballot box. PARKINSONSLAW the Readers Digest October 1976, pages we read' in an article by Milton Friedman: Sixteen years ago, C.
