David Rollins and Nancy Drexel In PREP AND PEP1 FOX PICTURE Much more than acting ability is essential in winning success in motion pictures, according to David Rollins, popular juvenile, who plays the fea tured role in Fox Films Prep and Pep, a Fox production now playing at tho Egyptian theatre. Young Rollins speaks from his own experience in pictures, of course, although he has been before the camera only a year. When I started out in pictures, says Rollins, 1 thought that acting ability and a screen personality was all that counted. I have found out it is tho hardest kind of work, and that the actor is required to do everything himself before the camera not hazardous stunts but things that require skilled application. In Win That Girl Rollins had to play football, and, although skilled at other forms of athletics, Rollins had to learn the game for the picture. Then came an air epic and Rollins learned to fly an airplane himself. That required weeks of study and actual application, and in Prep and Pep he was obliged to learn the mildrills at prep school. itary The major part of Prep and Pep was filmed at Culver Military academy in Culver, Indiana. This is a breezy story full of wholesome humor and excitement a boys adventures in the making of a better citizen. Nancy Drexcl plays the feminine lead with Rollins, and David Butler directed. Rollins is a native of Kansas City and later moved to California, where he was educated. A chance engagement in films lead to a featured role in High School Hero.
