We had a little at halftime and talked about what we needed to do to get the game back. I told them they could come back. We talked about adjustments we needed to make, said Bountiful Head Coach Mike Parker. Form that point on, we dominated and kept the ball down on their half of the field. Bountifuls Grady Johnson tied the seme with 10 minutes remaining in the game to force overtime. After a scoreless overtime period, Tyler Geurts scored on a header from Matt Beynon to give the Braves a 2-- 1 advantage with five minutes remaining in the second overtime period. O 7-- Wildcats back in tie for first Pat Young scored the games lone goal to give the Wildcats a victory over y East. The win puts Woods Cross in a tie for the region lead with Tooele. Pat pushed it up the middle and they gave him too much space; he kicked it in from 16 meters out and tucked it into the net, said Rigby. He caught them by surprise coming up from the fullback position to score. The win put the Wildcats ahead of East and Olympus. Going into the game their was a four-wa- y tie for the lead in Region 67. Woods Cross will look to finish the season strong playing Murray today at home and closing out the season with West on the road Thursday. The game has been moved to Thursday to accommodate Advanced Placement (AP) testing. You learn from your mistakes and focus on intensity and goals instead of showing up to play, you show up to win, asserted Rigby. The emphasis (in the last two games) will be two knock off a couple of rough edges. We want to continue to improve and focus and see how long we can stretch this out. 4-- Woods Cross 7, Granite 6 The Wildcats avoided being swept by the Farmers as they knocked off Granite The game featured timely hitting, as well as a comedy of errors as the two teams combined for a total of 11.
