Show Davis County Clipper luesda Writer Contributing NORTH SALT LAKE Al a special awards ceremony held at the North Salt Lake City ottices, attended by South Davis Fire District firemen and their families, awards were given out for 1995 and 1996 South Davis Fire District Fire Marshall Brent Argy le said he recognized that a lot ot time and ettort is taken front the loved ones of firefighters so they appreciate the support of the family members Terry Olsen said that it w as dear to his heart to be able to make the awards for both 1995 and 1996 He worked with an awards committee made up of Paul Richards, Mark Hunsaker and Steve Dyer Olsen also spoke on what is a fireman. He said the value of a fireman comes from his core values of integrity, service to others and a striving lor excellence in all that he does The mission ol the firefighter, he said, is to be the solution and not part of the problem. Firefighters with the South Dav is Fire District have pride in their service to the citizens of south Davis County although service can be difficult to measure, Olsen said Like anyone else, we laugh, we feel sad, we hurt and we cry with the people we serve, Olsen said Before the awards making Engineer Mark Hunsaker thanked The new FARMINGTON Farmington Municipal Swimming Pool will tentatively open Saturday, May 24 for the summer season The pool is located in the downtown area, west of the Davis County Courthouse and adjacent to the Farmington Elementary School.
