Governor Leavitt has proposed $600,000 in his current budget to go to the Homeless Trust Fund. State, Farmington They meet on the first and third Tuesday monthly Broughs art on display at Barnes Scott Brough of Kaysville is presenting the art display this month at Barnes Banking Co in Kaysville Scott's art abilities became evident to his parents when he was about four years old He began taking lessons from Bob Day, Sr and also took from Betty Hyer, Janet Harvey and studied under Vaughn Perkins at Davis High School At the age of 12, Scott began to pros ide the artwork for the program cover of the Happy Hollow summer musical production that his mother, Margaret, directed In junior high school Scott won the state art competition that was sponsored by the American Medical Association While in high school, he took first place in the Reflections art competition at the state level in 1987 and again in 1988 He went on to receive Honorable Mention in the competition at the national level Scott was awarded an art scholarship from Utah State University In 1996 Scott graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in art illustration He is currently working for an agency in Salt Lake as an art illustrator Scott works with a variety of mediums to create his pieces Currently on display at Barnes Bank are commissioned portraits, still life paintings, landscapes, wildlife, and more contemporary works of art The public is invited to stop by the Kaysville office of Barnes Bank and view Scott's artwork The display will continue through the end of January 298-034- 21-2- 5.
