Show wvw Davis County Clipper Friday, September 6, 1996 page B7 Jones selected as principal at North Summit Middle School Ken Jones, well loved and respected music teacher at Mueller Paris Junior High for eight years and assistant principal intern at Viewmont High School for the past two years, has accepted a position as principal of North Summit Middle School in Coalville, Utah. Jones is known for his high standards and expectations in all aspects of education and for his exceptional ability to motivate students. The Farmington Elementary Community Council is working hard to help update the school's outdated computers. We want to enrich the education of Farmington children for years to come, say council members. I t Reading tutors program slated at Knowlton Knowlton FARMINGTON with the in association School, Literacy Volunteers of America, is beginning a program of volunteer Reading tutors. The tutors will assist those young children who need extra help and personal attention in learning to read. Tutors do not have to have children who attend Knowlton School. Tutors receive one and a half days of free training in reading instruction before they begin working with the children. They are then asked to volunteer for two days each week for one hour each time. They will work with the same two students each time they come. Knowlton School has scheduled a volunteer training on p.m. Friday, Sept. 6 at 6:30-9:3- 0 and Saturday, Sept. 7 at 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Refreshments and lunch Will be provided.
