Braves edge Vikes in volleyball opener Mark Watson Sports Editor BOUNTIFUL Bountiful opened the 1995 Region 2 volleyvictoball season with a three-gam- e ry over rival Viewmont at Viewmont. In a hard fought opening game the Braves edged the home team The Vikes battled hard in the second game with a 15-- 6 triumph. The Vikings hope to battle for a playoff spot this season in a tough Region 2. We feel good about are team this year, the Viewmont coach said. The Vikes are 3 overall with losses to Bountiful, Layton and Cottonwood. They have picked up victories over Layton, Clearfield and Timpview twice.
