Troop 636 Camporee The American Legion troop under the direction of Senior Patrol Leader Chris Home, attended the Spring;,, Camporee with the goal of making up for their below par showing at the Klondike Derby. They accumulated enough points in the rain shortened activity to be awarded the Top Troop Presidential Ribbon as well as two second place finishes in the five mile race. The Camporee also marked the eleventh consecutive month of camping as a troop. Participating were Chris Home, Britton hansen, Paul Torgerson, Warren hansen, Travis Honeycutt, Troy Torgerson, Darin Davis, and Bradley Home. Britton, Paul, Troy and Warren all completed the five mile run in under 50 minutes. It took the Scoutmaster 55 minutes but he is old and overweight. Planned troop activities for May include working on Eagle service projects and a pizza party. Wendy Shaw, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Theron Shaw, broke her ankle in three places on a trampoline last week. She was operated on in Provo and had three pins put in her ankle. She is home now and we hope shell be up and around soon. Jennifer Kjar is walking around on crutches, too. She fell down last week and pulled the ligaments in her ankle and she will be on crutches for a couple of weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Taylor took their family to Lagoon Saturday. They spent the weekend visiting Deannas parents Mr. and Mrs. Jim Hooks of Pleasant Grove. Carol Hyatts dance class held their recital last Saturday night in the Aurora Ward recreation hall.
