Show Friday and Saturday Are SUSC Inauguration Days CEDAR CIT-Y- Presi-deGerald R Sherratt will be inaugurated as the 13th president of Southern Utah State College in ceremonies and activities Friday, May 21, and Saturday, May 22. The actual inauguration will be performed Saturday at 10 a.m. in the SUSC auditorium. This inauguration is extraordinary in that it is a homecoming as much as it is an academic ceremony, said Douglas Thompson, chairman of the inauguration committee. Dr. Sherratt is a graduate of SUSC and a descendant of some of the founders of the institution. We have tried as much as possible to capture that welcome home feeling in our planning, Thompson explained. The opening event is a 3 p.m. Friday reception in the presidents home, 331 West 200 S., hosted by the Associated Students of SUSC; It was President Sherratts desire that students be involved to the utmost, said Debbie Evans, the student member of the inauguration committee and chairman for the That is why reception. we wanted to begin the activities with a student-oriente- d nt activity.
