Show LAKESIDE YOUTH Lanesiae Review Tuesday, April 9, 1996 5 2 high schools tops -in Olympiad Viewmont BOUNTIFUL High School pulled away from the field in the final rounds to win the Star Wars competition at Utah State Universitys Academic Olympiad in March. It was the second team championship in three years for coach Nona Horsleys Viewmont team in the afternoons rapid-fir- e college bowl-styl- contest. e It followed a victory by Davis High and coach Genene Hill in the morning testing competition. Hills team won the 1995 Star Wars event. This is the 12th year for Academic Olympiad on the USU campus. As a result of the morning rounds of testing, gold medal winners were recognized in four categories: math (Eric Bair, Logan), science (Amol Nayate, Bonneville), social studies (Jonathan Blackhurst, Bountiful) and language arts (Kevin Gilbert, Preston.) Those winners are all offered four-yescholarship by USU.
