By KyANN MYERS - Standard Examiner correspondent deco- - CLEARFIELD Several Christmas rations stolen from Garth and Ann Barlow in - KAYSVILLE Robyn Dickson wants to know why AYSO players have to pay a fee to use the city soccer fields. Dickson, regional commissioner for the American Youth Soccer Organization, asked the city council last Tuesday to drop the charge to it the group The city assesses $1 per player to play on the fields, but Dickson said December, were mysteriously returned Jast . week. '. The Barlows had given up hope the plastic lighted drummer boy and two plastic lighted soldiers would be found. But one night around ! 10 pm. the Barlows son, Jeff, returned home after work and saw a strange lump in the middle of the lawn. He approached it cautiously, and realized it was the missing Christmas decorations. He couldnt believe it. I went running into the house yelling at my mom to come and see what was on the lawn. We went outside and she couldnt believe it either, said Jeff. Ann Barlow accused her son of buying new Christmas figures and setting them on the lawn to make it look like they were returned. But - she realized that Jeff couldnt have purchased ' the drummer boy because it had been discontinued. ' I was just in shock, said Ann. Miracles do happen. The Christmas decorations were undamaged and the light bulbs still work. They werent duly or dusty, and there was no physical evidence to indicate where the decorations had been. Ann thinks maybe someones guilty conscience got to them or perhaps someone was non-prof- that the soccer organization has been paying for replacement sod and helped to pay for the Chuck Bacon Memorial at one of the soccer spring cleaning a garage or basement and found them.
