Lancers bow out of state 4A tourney Region 1 champion Layton was knocked out of the state 4A tournament Moy 24 with a 14-- 4 loss to Hillcrest at Ken Price Park in Murray. The Huskies hit three home runs, including a grand slam, to eliminate the Lancers and push Hillcrest into the third round of the tournament. Meanwhile, the loss for Layton sent the Lancers home after round two. Layton lost its first game May 23 1 against eventual state runner-u- p Taylors7-- ville.
