April 10: Joyce Bennett, Flute; and Brett Zumsteg, cert Series on Temple Square in Salt Lake City start at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are not required for the concerts, which are free of charge and are sponsored by The LDS Church. Mr. Zumsteg will solo on the organ in Choral No. 2 in B Minor by Cesar Franck.' n Malaysian soprano Loh will appear in recital on Saturday evening. Concentrating on a selection of Lieder and operatic arias, Miss Loh will sing works by Purcell, Brahms, Strauss and Schoenberg. She will also perform the works of several Spanish composers. Ginastera, Guastavino and Obrados. The Ilarpsi-chordPianoOrg- April 11: Loh Slew Tuan, Soprano. Flautist Joyce Bennett and keyboard master Brett Zumsteg will give a recital on Friday evening. In the course of the concert Mr. Zumsteg will play the harpsichord, the piano and the organ. The program will begin with Bachs Sonata in Major, followed by Poulencs Sonata for Flute and Piano, the Intermez Unless otherwise indicated, all concerts are performed in the Assembly Hall. Following is a schedule of concerts for April: Wednesday, April 8: The Utah Siew-Tua- G-fl- at State University Chorale, the Northern Utah Choral Society and the USU Symphony Orches- evening concludes with Magdas Aria from Menottis The Consul. Piano accompaniment will be provided by Jed Moss. Sunday, April 12; Viewmont High School Combined Choirs. Led by director Jeanne McGuire, the combined choirs of Viewmont High School will perform on Sunday evening in the Assembly Hall. The program includes Glorious and Everlasting God and There Is A Green Hill Far Away by Gordon Young. A Gaelic Blessing by John Rutter, Irish Blessing by John Mitchel- - tree, All My Trails by Norman Luboff, Joy in the Morning by Natalee Sleeth, and three songs ; by Hank Beebe. The concluding Rab-bon- i, piece is an Easter Cantata, by Robert Manookin. Featured soloists for the cantata will be Heidi McKay, soprano; John Morgan, tenor; and Steve Evans, baritone. Organist Linda Margetts will also perform. April 17: Ralph Woodward Chorale April 18: Dennis C. Jackson,. Baritone Led by musical director Dr. Ralph Woodward, the Ralph Woodward Chorale will perform on Friday evening. The program will begin with Requiem by Gabriel Faure, and will feature son and prano Loh baritone Dennis Jackson as soloists. The concluding piece is Gloria by Francis Poulenc, with Loh n as soprano soloist. Orwill be proaccompaniment gan vided by Joan Stevens. Kesling, the Utah State University Chorale, the Northern Utah Choral Society, and the Utah State University Symphony Orchestra will combine to perform two choral masterpieces on Wednesday evening in the Tabernacle. The program will begin with Gloria by John Rutter. Soloists for. this piece are Bonnie Slade, Pat Swasey and Gayla Johnston, with Rebecca Parkinson as organist.
