Big names appear in 'legends' game LYNN AVERETT correspondent Can you SALT LAKE CITY remember the red, white and blue basketball? If you can, then you must remember the ABA and the Utah Stars. The glory years of the early 70s gave Utah its first and only professional basketball title when the Stars beat Kentucky in seven games. And that seventh game was in the Salt Palace. Yes, theyve slowed down a bit, and quite a bit of grey hair was showing, and the stomachs arent as flat, but they can still play roundball and the competition is there. I really havent played much ball since leaving the game, but I still enjoy the competition, said Red Robbins. The competition showed in the second half as both squads started hitting the boards with a little more vigor. There were also more pro moves to the basket. You get caught up in the game and no matter how old you get, you still want to win and be the best you can, said Truck Robinson. : f ) t 4 I Send This Form & Your Check To: f f t . llevaew Lakeside 2146 North I : A i 'V,.;- P Main, Layton, Ut. 84041 . nr r We must receive I Even Hot Rod Hundley got into the act with his passing and a three point hook shot.
