Now we have to go to work and prepare ourselves for our next game, Wood said. The Layton offense is running in midseason form in many re- - spects but the Lancer mentor knows youre only as good as your latest outing. We've got a game to play Friday (at Woods Cross), and it's like I told the kids if we don't prepare ourselves for our next game, then we're going to end up injured and disappointed with the outcome, Wood said. The Darts claimed a 28-- shutout victory over the outmanned Ben Lomond Scots here Friday afternoon, to notch their second consecutive win against no defeats in early action. Davis fullbacks accounted for three touchdowns as Rob Warden scored from yard and 39 yards and Clint Allen added a 29 yard 0 pre-seas- 1 scoring run. The other Dart score was a pretty 41 yard toss from York IT ill to Curtis Stoddard. We got some good mileage out of our fullbacks, said Davis head coach Jim Dickson. We scored three times from that position. We did some things better against Ben Lomond than we did against Weber. We had a good first half but we slowed down a little in the second. The Davis defense was equally impressive keeping the Scots off the scoreboard. Jason Citte and Steve Bush each had an interception to stall Ben Lomond drives and the line kept the Scots offense in check all afternoon. Defensively, when you get a shutout you have to be doing some good things. Dickson remarked. The Darts found their way into the endzone early in the game and never looked back. Warden dove in form the line at the 6:30 mark of the first period for a 0 advantage.
