The Spikers sent 50 into the state competition. Poll, who will be a sophomore at Clearfield High this fall, had fastest time of the night in the pole bending and barrel racing events and qualified for nationals e with her overall season finish in barrel racing. Madsen, who finished his freshman year at Central Davis Junior High recently, took first place overall in cow cutting and will compete in that event at Rapid City. Madsen, who set a goal of making nationals right from the beginning of the year, said he was slow getting started this season but things began coming together.
