She was fastened into her car seat--- a fact that probably saved her life. She was only 7 months old. Though she was in her car seat Natalie lost the natural instinct to suck on a bottle and had to be retrained. She can now eat purced Even rolling over had to be relearned. Natalie can now position herself for crawling, but doesn't have the motion for it. In addition to the weekly therapy, her parents work with her every day. i Mrs. Patrick says. She's come a long way from not being able to turn over. She's overcome a lot of things to get where she is. She's been so happy through it all. She gels along on her own. Now doctors dont know how far she will develop, but they know there is brain injury'. 5? u V1 ft if. The injuries sustained that day in May of 1984 in Farmington set her development back. She has been forced to start all over in learning how to sit and move. To help the Patrick family,, the youth of the Layton 8th LDS Ward are trying to help pay for that therapy through a St. Patrick's Day dinner, theatre and dance at the church Sat., March 16. Donations of $12.50 a person and $25 per couple will go toward Natalie's weekly therapy sessions. Natalies parents pay $28 a session. Dinner will start at 6 p.m., the theatre at 8 p.m. and dancing will be front 9 p.m. p.m. She was given medicine to keep her perfectly still and to reduce pressure. She was fed through a lube to her stomach which has since been removed. She can now drink from a bottle. After her accident. v 'fti tf foods and could probably eat more, but she doesn't like the tex- with bell secure, the impact smashed her head into the car's interior, causing injuries that put her in the hospital for two months. Three weeks of that time were spent in intensive care. Her doctors at Primary Children's Hospital at first didn't give Natalie any hope of recovering because the trauma to her head caused brain swelling and severe pressure. Add beef and brown over medium heat. Add salt, soup and water. Cover tightly and let cook Vi Slowly until tender, about hours. hot with butter. Add pineapple juice and enough water Pour over top of dessert. to make cup. Add the combined cheese, nuts and pineapple Spread on some cool whip and to the gelatin when it starts to set. sprinkle nuts on top. fold into jello mixin Whip cream, last. Chill ture until firm. Green Slush 8 Combine all ingredients bowl. Spread dough in greased 3 potatoes, pared and quar- inch pie pan.
