Resident Steven Nelson said he enjoyed the rural atmosphere of Clinton Funds Asked for Art Center KAYSVILLE More residents from Kaysville attend the Bountiful Art Center than from any other town in Davis County, said Marilyn Coleman, director of the center. Mrs. Coleman approached the Kaysville City Council requesting funds to help with the operation of the art center. At the time of its establishment in 1974 the University of Utah and Bountiful City supplied funds for maintenance. In 1979 a $100,000 expansion was completed on donated funds, said Mrs. Coleman. Recently the University of Utah withdrew its support of $33,000 a year. The art center serves students from throughout the county, she said, We feel its important to continue on with the programs, exhibits and classes. She asked the council to consider donating an annual amount for the center and plans to make similar proposals to other municipalities. They are also looking for support from Kaysville citizens and businesses. The council will consider her request. He said that is why he moved to Clinton. Change is inevitable, said resident Dean Hill, but he said he wants Clinton to stay rural as long as possible calling it something you develop your lifestyle around. Another concern of neighbors living near the property was that once people started moving in, they would not like the animals near by. The owners felt they would be eventually be forced out.
