The fudge is one which never seems to fail. The recipe is easy to make and yields about 4 pounds. The peanut brittle is not the thin type but it has a very delicious flavor and my own family prefer it to the other type. EASY FUDGE square butter 12 cups sugar 1 tall can evaporated milk Boil these 3 ingredients together for 10 minutes. Begin counting time when the candy reaches boil stage. This mixture burns easily. Do not add any water, just stir occasionally so it wont stick. Keep at rolling boil. In another pan place the following: 2 pkgs. chocolate chips 4 12 oz. milk chocolate bar 18 large marshmellows or 6 oz. miniature marshmellows 2 tsps. vanilla 1 4 1 cup nuts, chopped Pour the hot mixture over this and stir until the chocolate and marshmellows have melted. Pour on buttered platter. Cool and cut into serving pieces. PEANUT BRITTLE 2 cups sugar cup white corn syrup 12 cup hot water Boil to soft ball. Add 2 cups raw peanuts Stir until light golden color. Remove from heat and add in the following order: 3 tbs. melted butter 1 12 tsp. salt 2 tsp. vanilla 2 tsp. soda Stir quickly after each addition and pour onto ungreased cookie sheet. Do not move it or bump table until it is set. For best results make candy on a clear day free from moisture. 1 , - News 4-- H - SKYLARK CLUB The Skylark H club was held Dec. 4, 1970 at the home of their leader, Madge Thompson.
