Hanks and family have moved to Tacoma, Washington where he has accepted a position with Ernst and Ernst Company as a Managing Consultant. He began his new position September 15. Mr. Hanks received his Bachelors Degree in Business Administration at Weber State College and recently his Masters Degree at the University of Utah in the field of Finance. Larry will be remembered by friends as a son of Mr. and Mrs. Gale D. Hanks of Salem. He is married to the former Sandra Coombs who is the daughter of the late Ralph Coombs and Annie Lee Hedgepeth Coombs of Payson. Larry and Sandra have two children:Karen Marie and Shawn. They spent the day having dinner and visiting. th Parents announce engagement Mr. and Mrs. Joseph A. Holt of Payson announce the engagement of their daughter, Nancy, to Jerry Alan Hyman. Mr. and Mrs. Morris Hyman of Spring-fiel- d, Illinois are parents of the benedict-elec- t. The marriage of Miss Holt and Mr. Hyman will be solemnized Thursday, October 15, in the Salt Lake Temple. The bride-ele- ct was graduated from the Brigham Young" University. She has done undergraduate study at Illinois State University and Bradley University also in Illinois. Nancy majored in piano performance at BYU. Jerry is currently attending BYU and has also attended both Illinois State and Bradley Universities in Illinois. SANTAQUIN GOOD COOKS Corner Mrs. Idonna W. (Edgar) Finch will be observed with an open house, Sunday, Sept. 27 at the family home in Goshen. In case-o- f inclement weather it will be held at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Allan Newton, at 104 West Main in Goshen. The children of Mr. and Mrs. Finch will host the open house and are inviting all friends and relatives to call between 2" and 5 p.m. They request no gifts. Edgar and Lillian were married Sept. 30, 1920 in Provo. They are the parents of six living children, Carl Finch, Adrian Finch, Mrs. Allan (Iris) Newton, Mrs. Gary (Verna) Van Ausdal, all of Goshen; Mrs. Don (Ardath) Newton, Mona; and Fenton Finch of Provo. They also have 1 foster child, Lyman Loney, of Goshen. They have 16 grandchildren and 1 great- grandchild. Fire Ladies Lady Firemen of Payson met Monday evening at the Fire Station and gave the building a thorough cleaning during the time allotted for their monthly meeting. Visitors at the home of Mrs. Eunice Garbett during the celebration of early September were her daughter, Merlene, and husband, Dale Brown, of San Bernardino, Calif.; her son Michael and wife and their children, Michael and Michelle, of Redding, Calif.; and also her granddaughter, Earlene, and husband, Jack Tucker, and their little daughters, Elizabeth and Amy Jo, of Auborn, Wash. Todd Lynn, son of Lynn and Mary Kerby of Sandy, Utah was one year old Sept 13. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Fred Robertson, Payson & Mr. and Mrs. Walter Kerby of Genola Mrs. Fern Visgar of Los Angeles, Calif., and Mrs. Maurine Caliva of Huntington Park, Calif., arrived in Payson Monday and are making inspection of Mrs. Calivas new home located at 160 South Second East, where she and her family expect to send part of their time each year. The activities for the evening included a trip to Salt Lake City to visit the Parade of Homes and demonstrations and displays. The Young Homemakers traveled by bus to this event. It was an evening of enjoyment for all and an excellent way to begin the new year of the Young Homemakers Club. The October meeting will be held October 8th at 7:30 p.m. in the Payson High School Home Economics room.
